BE86U reboots with MLO enabled

This router has mostly default settings, running firmware 3.0.0.6.102_39112-g7a02961_1472-g67069_BB0B , soon as I enable mlo, and mlo fronthaul it goes into boot loop. I couldn't get it to factory reset with the button (tried 10 times). Was able
to login just long enough between boots to disable MLO. Then it was all fine again. Searching the forum doesn't seem to be a common issue.

Try this method 2
To perform a hard factory reset on an ASUS router using the WPS button,
turn the router off, then press and hold the WPS button while turning the router back on. Continue holding the WPS button until the power light turns off, then release it and manually reboot the router by turning it off and on again.

Tried that also quite a few times, didnt work on the be86.. I have 4 other asus routers that works fine on.

@rlj2 when I enable MLO I think it doesn't boot loop but I'm unable to add a mesh node. If you tell me the exact settings I can try to see what happens on mine.

Could you tell me the ping you get when doing a speedtest directly in the router and on wifi to the same server?

Interesting - care to mention which WiFi7 devices are attaching to the AP/Router?

I believe the only wifi7 device at the moment are a tp-link pcie card in a PC, and a iphone

I just enabled MLO, and MLO Fronthaul on clients. Adding mesh nodes can be a pain, Think each node took 4-5 times before finally connecting, even wired. Not sure I understand your speed question, but on the router speedtest Im around 1200/1100/Mpbs, 25ms ping. On the wifi 7 PC, Im around 800/1050Mbps, 25ms ping.

It's explained in the thread below but when I do a speedtest in router web interface I get a 2ms ping but when doing it with devices connect to wifi I get 6-7 ms ping. In my case there's 4-5 ms increase while you have no increase.

One correction to my previous post. I was unable to add the mesh node after configuring IoT network and not MLO. After adding the mesh node I activated the IoT network and it kept working.
