BE98 pro and weird issue with WiFi settings (FW 102.5)

New Around Here
After upgrading to the latest 102.5 I started having this weird settings issue.

Under Wireless General, I have a SSID that I did not setup, and I cannot edit anything, since the APPLY button does not work.
I found out that if I do some updates on the Professional page, it will temporarily show the correct settings (see bottom picture).
After a short time it reverts back to the weird settings.

How do I fix this?

If you are having strange issues or weird behavior after flashing firmware, one should, as a troubleshooting step, try performing a hard factory reset followed by a manual configuration (do not import a saved router.cfg file) then test if the issue or problem returns. One should also unplug any router attached USB drive, reboot the router leaving the USB unattached to see if the issue persists. When performing a firmware upgrade one should remove any router attached USB hard drive.

The team at Asus have done an incredible job! Seems that many other models are also affected.
After updating the XT9 mesh to the latest firmware (3.0.0.4.388_24753) version, it is no longer possible to set a single SSID for the 5-1 and 5-2 bands. ASUS allows you to set a shared SSID only for the tri-band or mandatory three different SSIDs for each band.

Customer will do what ASUS wants is the new political dogma...!

That weird SSID usually indicate you switched back and forth between two firmware versions that were not compatible, or you ran a script that modifies wireless settings and is not compatible with it. In most recent firmware versions, wireless settings are now stored as subunits, with the "primary" unit being used for AiMesh backhaul. So if you revert back to a firmware with the old implementation, that is what happens.

If you did that, then your only solution at this point is to reset your settings and reconfigure your router.
