Can I add an RP-AC68U to a Mesh network?

My setup:

ISP: Sky 50Mbps fibre
Modem: Sky Hub 3.0
Router: RT-AC5300 + RT-AC68U (mesh)

I need to add 2-3 more nodes. I purchased an RP-AC68U and was told it can be meshed.. is this true?

Currently doing the firmware upgrade as I couldn’t see the option for it.

As of Feb 2018 support of repeaters as AiMesh nodes was expected “in a few months” according to Asus.

No RP devices are on the AiMesh supported list still though so how true that statement was is anybodies guess!

Definitely not supported today though.

Given they cost the same as the RT-AC68U may as well get that instead.

Ah got it, ok i think it’s safe to say it won’t be included. I’ve got two RP’s now so I’ll make use of these until something cheap pops up.

Is there a list where I can see all mesh compatible devices?
