TP-Link's Wi-Fi 6 CES 2020 introductions include two new AX6600 tri-band routers, a new AX3000 PCI-Express Network Card and a new AX1500 range extender.

The AX6600 tri-band Archer AX90 is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and has dual-stream 2.4 and 5 GHz radios plus a second four-stream 5 GHz radio. Maximum wireless rates are 574 Mbps @2.4 GHz, 1201 Mbps @5 GHz_1 and 4804 Mbps @5 GHz_2). Wireless features include beamforming, OFMDA, MU-MIMO and WPA3 security.

Archer AX90 ports include one 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN, one Gbps WAN/LAN port, three Gbps LAN and two USB (2.0 and 3.0).

The AX6600 tri-band Archer GX90 gaming router has a dedicated four-stream 5 GHz radio for gaming, providing a maximum wireless rate of 4804 Mbps. TP-Link didn't specify the capabilities of the 2.4 and other 5 GHz radios. But we're guessing they're the same as the Archer AX90.

Other gaming-centric features include Gaming Accelerator, providing bandwidth prioritization for game play and Gaming Statistics, which presents stats such as real-time latency, game duration and system performance.

Additional security, such as antivirus and IoT, for both routers is available through TP-Link’s HomeCare Pro monthly or annual subscription service after an initial free trial.

TP-link’s Archer TX3000E is a dual-stream Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 PCI-E adapter that adds 1024-QAM functionality and 160 MHz 5 GHz bandwidth to PCs that want to connect to Wi-Fi 6 networks. It supports maximum link rates of 2402 Mbps @ 5 GHz and 574 Mbps @ 2.4 GHz. The Archer TX3000E also includes a Bluetooth 5.0 radio for connecting headsets, controllers, keyboards, etc.

Lastly, the TP-Link RE505X is Wi-Fi 6 AX1500 dual-band, dual-stream wall-plug format range extender that includes features such as access point mode, the TP-Link Tether App, and One Mesh - a feature that creates a Wi-Fi 6 network when paired with compatible TP-Link Wi-Fi 6 routers. TP-Link didn't provide spec details, but we're guessing from the AX1500 moniker that it doesn't support 5 GHz 160 MHz bandwidth.

Pricing and availability for the new TP-Link Wi-Fi 6 products are:
  • TP-Link Archer AX90 - MSRP of $299.99, available in April 2020
  • TP-Link Archer GX90 - MSRP of $329.99, available in late Q2 2020
  • TP-Link Archer TX3000E - MSRP of $49.99, available this month
  • TP-Link RE505X - MSRP of $69.99, available in March 2020
