Hi, I have just switched to BT infinity 2 and have setup my D7800 and connects ok, occasionally I get a disconnect during the night, the problem I'm having is the modem will not automatically reconnect until I reboot the D7800.

I am using firmware 1.0.0.48.
 
Have you tried turning off all network equipment (including the modem) for at least 10 minutes (I recommend 30 to 60 minutes, from experience) so that the connection with your ISP is properly reset?

Turn off all equipment (physically unplug everything from the wall too).

Plug in and turn on the modem. Wait 5 minutes.
Plug in and turn on the router. Wait 5 minutes.
Plug in all switches and any wired computers.
Turn on all wireless devices.
