AFAIK, $140 is the current all time low pricing (previously it was $150). Unfortunately, it's currently OOS for the online store so you'd have to pick up it in-store.

It's using Mediatek MT7986 SoC so Asuswrt-Merlin is not supported, but at least Openwrt is supported.
