The EnGenius ENS620EXT is an outdoor AC1300 "Wave 2" access point with MU-MIMO support.

Designed for both consumers and businesses, the AC1300 dual-band AP runs wireless speeds up to 800 Mbps at 5 GHz and 400 Mbps at 2.4 GHz, while its two Gigabit Ethernet ports can be combined for aggregate wired throughput up 2 Gbps.

Four detachable (RP-SMA) antennas can also be replaced for an increased range up to 1.86 miles when using EnGenius' SA5219 or SA2216 sector antennas, according to the vendor.

The new AP is encased in an IP55-rated enclosure for outdoor use. The ENS620EXT is powered over POE via one of its Gigabit ports, making placement easier for areas that may not be near a power source.

The EnGenius ENS620EXT will be available in North America in July with an MSRP of $229.
