I wish my router could host a small http server from an attached drive, for like a low traffic info site. Simple stuff.

I also wish my guest network would make guests review and accept my rules before getting online

Already has one; it serves the GUI for AsusWRT.

Captive portal is usually higher end. It has probably been done already, if you can work the forum's search function.
