Should one always perform a factory reset after a FW update? The issue is the amount of customization that needs to be restored unless it is also okay to restore from backup after the factory reset. I have connected devices named with more user-friendly names, static addresses set, etc. It's a good hour of my time to get things reconfigured, not to mention factory resetting each mesh node so they can be added back. Just wondering what the consensus on this topic is given the frequency of FW on these newer devices. I assume checking the following also wipes NVRAM (and should be done):
"Initialize all the settings, and clear all the data log for AiProtection, Traffic Analyzer, and Web History."
Main questions are:
(1) should a factory reset be done after FW updates (including checking the aforementioned box)
(2) is it okay to backup settings and then restore after the reset or could that potentially break something if a backup up setting has changed or is no longer available
(3) Will restoring bring back the mesh nodes as they were configured prior to the reset or will all of those have to be reset and re-added
Any additional insight that folks can offer would be greatly appreciated!
