Hardware Issue?

New Around Here
Hello,

i will try to explain my problem with bad english...so pls excuse this

My RT-AC68U (3 Years old) works great until the last month. Than i got problems with my ISP and had to use my iphone as modem.
I figured out that DD WRT has this feature (iPhone tethering) and i did 30-30-30, instaled DD WRT and 30-30-30 again.
But the router didnt work.
So i tried some other Versions...nothing worked.

Back to Merlin - Router is ok.
BUT after all this i saw, that LAN1 LED is allways on. With cable pluged in LAN1 i didnt get response (no ping).
Cable back in LAN2 and Webinterface, tells me that LAN1 is shown as active with 10MB/s?!?!

Confused i flashed DD WRT again and start ping 192.168.1.1 -t (own PC = 192.168.1.2)

After flashing, the router reboots and only LAN2 is active (where cable is pluged in) - but after 10? seconds the LAN1 LED comes active again. The ping showes me ONE response and after this...nothing.

So next try - wireshark:
i´m not a professional and dont really know what i´m looking for - BUT i got the message, that there is a duplicate IP adresse detected (source = 192.168.1.1).

So please!!! why is LAN1 allways up and i cant access to the router with other firmware than Merlin/original firmware.

I tried 30-30-30 maaaany times...also telnet and "mtd-erase -d nvram" or "
mtd-erase2 nvram".
I tried Merlin 380 -> Merlin 378 -> DD WRT

Anybody can help me?

so...no one can told me, why LAN1 is active all the time after the router completely booted up?
No telnet or ssh commands that will identify the problem?
:(

Try an "electrical reset" (do a forum search on this term for the exact procedure).

no changes after electrical reset...router bootet with your firmware - LAN2 is active (cable pluged in) - at the moment, the router is pingable, LAN1 comes active and is shown as 100mbit in your web interface status window

This is shown in wireshark

If LAN1 still stays on without anything plugged in it then it means the port is defective.

any way to deactivate this port that (it seems so) take the same IP than the vlan for the other ports?

Not that I know of. Might not change anything anyway if it's actually shorted out internally.

hmmm...but connection lost after some minutes - no ping possible...wireshark shows that there is IP conflict. i tried to change internal IP to 192.168.0.1 but than it tolds me, that there is conflict with 192.168.0.1
