Help Help with my Linkstation

I know nothing about a NAS or if the linkstation Pro Duo LS-WTGL/R1 even is a NAS but how do you set up permissions for webaccess.

I mean start from the basics, I know nothing.

I bought this as a back up and really like the webaccess as a bonus. I got the webaccess to work but only as allow anonymous. But when I try to make the folders/permissions/ or groups or all of the above, I never can get any password to work.

Is there a place I can learn about User vs group and about permissions. And how do you set passwords.

I am so confused. This self educating is driving me crazy, because the manual says nothing.

OMG Im such a retard. You have to make a NEW password in USER MANAGMENT and then assign groups to it.

I still don't quite understand Users and Group permissions, so any good instructions on that would be appreciated.

Also, some how by resetting my LinkStation to factory settings My Auto-Configure Firewall (UPnP) is no longer working. It says set manally to 9000. Anyone have any idea how to get this working again?
