New Around Here
Current setup:
Basement:
Main floor:
Top floor:
I have lots of client devices (Windows Phones, iPad, iPhone, MacBook, Xbox, PC, NAS, DVR). My Apple products have always had frequent disconnect issues with the AP (even when in close proximity, especially the MacBook) and I've never been able to get any Airplay scenarios working consistently over the wifi (usually run for ~5 minutes, then the AP must be reset).
The range on the 2553 has been fine. I'm mainly looking to upgrade to something that gives me some future-proofing AC, and will play nice with my Apple device and applications, while keeping the range. I'm open to using a consumer router in AP mode, using a POE splitter, if that ends up being the best solution.
