Is it a good time to buy a DSL-N55U Modem Router?

I'm on the market to buy a Modem Router and the DSL-N55U seems like the fastest and most praised right now.

but since it's only N600 and been around since 2011, I was wondering is it a good time to buy now or do you thin Asus will release an upgraded version soon?

I don't know what Asus's plans are for the future, but I doubt you will see any new modem/router from them in the next 6 months, as there is no sign of any new modem/router in the firmware source code at this time. The only new addition I saw recently was the VDSL-N66 - no idea if the product actually shipped, or if it was just for a specific market.

hey i heard somewhere that asus soon going to launch new modems so i will recommend to you to wait for one month.

I just found out that DSL-N66U has been recently released and it has some nice upgrades. so to answer my question, it is probably a very bad time to buy DSL-N55U.
