Out of nowhere and the first time I have seen this the following in the log on my GT-AXE16000 router:

Kernel: netlink: 12 bytes leftover after parsing attributes in process `ip'.

Can ayone shed some light on this. How would I fix this issue?

This is on the just released new firmware.

I have the same problem with my RT-AX300 v2. I started getting that message, and after 2 days the router was non-function until I factory reset it. Originally I just allowed the GUI to upgrade the firmware. After I factory reset it, I went back to the previous firmware, then decided to do a factory reset install of this new version. I factory reset, upgraded, factory reset again, configured. I am still getting the message, which I never got with the previous firmware. i will post here if my system gets non-functional again.

I just changed the log level to 4 and now the logs are clean. I am assuming this error is really not affecting anything unless it fills up your log. The fix is the level 4 commit to nvram done.

Sems like sa memory leak issue. After reboot it coulfd not send feedback nor restore previous firmware until i factory reset it.

1-2 days? That's not a leak, but a firehose!

I just set up an RT-AX82U for a friend with ASUS FW 3.0.0.4.388_22525. After about 24Hrs, the same messages started. They are in groups of 3 every 5 minutes. I really hope your crash is not imenent. Is there any setting that might be tweaked to make this go away?
