Sorry, I'm just now getting back to this. Trying with firefox instead of chrome the md5sum is still off (but the same as it was before). I'm getting

b04935978b84362723db9adde513f115 RT-AC56U_380.57_0.trx

I'm using Ubuntu 15.10, tried downloading with both chrome and firefox and tried unzipping with both the graphical tool and the command line. I get the same (wrong) md5sum each time.

That would be because the provided checksum values are SHA256, not MD5.
