I have cable provided by Optimum which feeds their modem and then my LAN router is an ASUS RT-AC88U. Each Windows computer on the LAN has Norton security, and there are also NAS's and cameras on the LAN.
Update: I am looking at adding a Netgate SG-3100 Security Gateway Appliance between my modem and ASUS RT-AC88U as an additional firewall (and let the ASUS router continue to handle all routing)
Can someone comment about the additional protection this would afford? People who comment on the ASUS/Trend Micro AiProtection seem to think it is not much protection.
Does the Netgate Security Gateway with pfSense add a lot and is it worth it?
