Netgear R7500 and R8000 Open Source Firmware Available Now

We now have open source firmware available for the R7500 and the R8000 through http://www.myopenrouter.com/

There is OPEN-WRT for the R7500.

And there is DD-WRT for the R8000.

Both of these are early so I would proceed with caution.

Its great that Netgear is embracing the open source community with these latest generation products. I was surprised at how fast we are seeing these versions as both the R7500 and R8000 are very recent chip technologies.
