New folder on samba share - Error 0x8000ffff: Catastrophic failure

Hi,

Any time I am creating a new folder on SMB share I’m getting this error:
Error 0x8000ffff: Catastrophic failure
The message will go away on "Cancel" and the folder gets created.
This started right after I installed Asuswrt-Merlin
OS: Win8pro
External HD 3TB connected to USB3 port. I tried to use USB2 - same result.
User has RW rights
