New Around Here
Im trying to share a usb-disk by nfs (only nfs). The service does not start, hence I cannot reach the nfs share

*** used params:
/mnt/usb_router
192.168.0.1/24
rw,sync,no_subtree_check,no_root_squash
(the share exists and the diesk works fine. e.g. ftp works great)

*** log entry:
Sep 30 13:17:00 statd[4143]: Version 1.1.6 Starting
Sep 30 13:17:00 statd[4143]: statd running as root. chown /var/lib/nfs/sm to choose different user
Sep 30 13:17:00 kernel: svc: failed to register lockdv1 RPC service (errno 97).

Any ideas greatly appreciated!

after rebooting the router and forcing nfs V3 from the client side a strange warning remains in the log - but everything runs smoothly.

--> solved!

PS I'd like to express my admiration for the fine balance (and blending) of 'standard' versus 'customization' with 'Merlin': open for particular needs (I *love* the configuration.add/override in JFFS!) and standard for simple handling of common tasks. Thanks a lot!
