For info only - a reminder for troubleshooting.
Symptoms:
No Internet - typical symptoms of dns resolution failure, with additional symptoms such as problems accessing webui via the access point, and ethernet-connected devices not detected on network scan.
Cause:
Crashed/frozen ethernet-connected Humax Foxsat DVR. (A very reliable box - never done this before.)
Moral of story:
Never overlook disconnection of all ethernet-connected devices during troubleshooting (along with any usb devices, of course).
Just because you’ve never had to disconnect ethernet-connected devices during previous troubleshooting, it doesn’t follow that one of those devices won’t drag your router down at some future date.
