Sort of Merlin-WRT related...
I've found that sometimes when I connect to a public wifi with my phone, it will fail to connect to the OpenVPN server on the router. If I disconnect from the wifi and use the cell network, it connects just fine. Which is cool except if I'm in one of the many grocery stores that weirdly have no cell reception.
If I go to the web browser to see if I have to click an [X] Agree to Terms before it works, that's usually not the issue, and the [unsecure] internet works fine. So I can only assume that some public wifis have a way to block VPN services?
A) Is that assumption accurate?
B) Is there a way around it?
Thanks much you guys.
