Will the new release of openwrt Chaos Calmer 15.05 have any impact on Merlin?

Why would it? Asuswrt-Merlin has absolutely nothing to do with OpenWRT.

And we had this a couple of days ago: ".....and believe that this can be done through OpenWRT-Merlin......". Some respectable quantum physicists predict an infinite number of universes and there'll be one exactly like ours except that their RMerlin's firmware is linked to OpenWRT. Grateful I'm in this one, then. That said, I'm still struggling to get my head round iptables, never mind multiverses.

Some people see the word "WRT" and assume they're all the same thing. I've seen MerlinWRT, DDWRT Merlin, OpenWRT-Merlin, Merlin firmware...

Asuswrt-Merlin is based on Asuswrt, which was forked from Tomato. OpenWRT was never related to my project in any way. The only codebase I actively track is Asus's own.
