Possible page caching issue?

Has anyone over the past 2 years or so experienced an issue where they would make changes to a page, apply them, and the displayed page would show the original settings without their changes?

I just spent a few hours digging through that issue with the OpenVPN Client page, and having finally tracked down the cause I devised a fix. The issue was probably introduced with a change made by Asus in a 2024 GPL merge. I was wondering if anyone else also experienced it. If so, which page, which router model, and which browser?

I know the issue exists on Wifi 7 models, I haven't checked yet if other 3006 devices or if 3004 were also affected by it. A quick way to test is to go to the OpenVPN Client page, change the Description, apply, and see if the new Description appears, or the previous one.

No issue here

It is also present on the GT-BE19000AI, this phenomenon occurred with several settings. After changing a value, the page reloaded and showed the old setting. After manually refreshing the page, the new, changed values appeared. For example, after disabling SSH, it still showed it as active. Using Firefox. I just tested it with Edge, it works fine there.
Another interesting thing is that, when typing data (password, description, name) the input is often delayed. Characters are left out.

I haven't noticed this with mine. Doesn't mean there's not a problem though 🤔

No problem here with RT-BE86U

I've 44 clients configured in the DHCP page and sometimes some existing clients are indicated as "new device" when adding or changing a other device after saving. After a refresh everything is shown properly. Don't know if that is related.

Yeah, I suspect it depends on multiple factors, since I experienced it for the first time today, and only on one of the two routers I was working on.

I'm just curious as to what factors might be involved, hence my query. Also, how common is it.
