I am back on 382.2_B3 on my RT-AC3100 since none of the suggested solutions have resolved the issues I experienced with 384.3_A1 (Network Map displaying all wireless client Tx & Rx rates as "0", QoS Stats not displayed, and Web History not displayed).

I came back to 382..2 beta3 on my asus ac68u....now enable/disable guest network are ok....I think that 384.3 alpha version for ac68u needs more debugging to fix errors so that it can go to the next beta stage.

How you resolve the issue? I have not test it.. I ask just in case I have similar problem...

I have tested it and can confirm that it doesn’t work on my RT-AC68U. I suspect that it is because the wifi is not restarted after saving the new guest network settings. Wifi clients remain connected and that was not the case with the older firmware versions.

He did a downgrade from the new alpha to the old beta. the guest network works well there.

Has anyone else had issues with USB flash drives. Was working fine with Beta3 but seems to be having issues with the Alpha.

Lol.. ok... so confuse with all the numbering..

I did a downgrade from this alpha to 382.2 beta 3. The alpha has to many bugs!

Creating a new guest network doesn’t work properly. Changing DNS servers only works after reboot.

It's an Alpha release - what do you expect? :(

Alpha releases are issued to aid the development process by collecting issues quicker than the developer can in isolation. You should expect a high number of bugs if you install Alpha code.

That's right! But normally he was not as full of bugs as now :(

That might be because it's the first alpha from the 384 branch. If you don't want bugs, wait for a stable release.

Other than the before mentioned QoS issues and the missing signal strength in WiFi survey, I have no issues running this alpha, so I'm actually pleasantly surprised.

Has anyone else had issues with USB flash drives. Was working fine with Beta3 but seems to be having issues with the Alpha.

Two flashdrives running here without issues. Can you check the drive on a different system?

Go to wireless tab and click on professional and then select 2.4 and check the usb3 interference option make sure it is enabled.

As Eric mentioned before, it is a new codebase... first alpha... don’t expect too much...
That’s why I didn’t hop into 384 as I am busy and don’t have time for debug. If u install alpha version, don’t expect it to work perfectly.
If u want to be alpha tester, u just report bug/issues and help to suggest alternative fix if possible. Don’t expect Eric to please fix it.
** Not talking about you. Just in general....

Anyone try IFTTT or Alexa?

I tried to enable IFTTT today. I already have DDNS on and needed to enable WAN access (for now ;-)
I went through the steps to link. It does the spinning thing for ~ 15 seconds then says Account Linking Failed. (2)
I tried multiple times, both Alexa and IFTTT.

Anyone have either working!?!

What on earth do you expect ??????? It is an alpha, a test release , the whole idea being to look for and resolve bugs.

If you can't understand that and don't want "bugs" you should only install a final , stable release.

You do understand the meaning of test build right? And this is alpha, it's not even beta yet, of course there's bugs. It's the whole idea of TEST BUILD. Even the title called [Preview]. If you wants to help, provide logs of the issue, but before that, search this discussion whether there's other who reported it.

I really hope those who went into this topic know what they really getting into, not download, flash and complain.
