I had ordered this for HP laptop, but it doesn't recognize the Mini-PCI Adapter 300Mbps by TP-LINK.

So I thought I remember seeing that DIR-655 uses Mini-PCI which it does. So I open it up and found this:

I found that the PC board is DIR-855 and DGL-4500 design.

Install with TP-LINK 300Mbps Mini-PCI WNPU

Working with Card installed (Close-up)

Now turns into DIR-825, (in theory NPU the same) this card doesn't have 3 connectors I only needed 2 connectors for the laptop. I've tested the signal on the laptop it's actual better it's coming in a -49dB instead of the prior which was -54dB the lower the number the better.

Note: I am running the latest beta firmware 1.21b11_beta02 with share point using 4-port USB2.0 hub to control 3 HP Color Deskjet with HP MFP on A3. Shown here:

Modding SOHO hardware is always cool. Though considering the 825 is a dual-band, dual-radio device, you've really just built a beefed-up DIR-615 instead. ;)

Latest DIR-615 C1/3.01 doesn't have USB port it more like the Trendnet TEW-652BRP both have 400MHz NPU and 32MB of RAM.

All I did was change the components in DIR-655 replaced a faulty Mini-PCI Wireless N, the only difference I see though the specs on TP-LINK reads 20dB transmit power 100mW the chip is made in twain and RoHs. I really just wanted to make sure the A3 hardware was going to work together but it does. I haven't seen any errors in the main LOGS like I was getting prior. I'll just keep on testing..

Got the share point working on WD Passpoint as NAS and 3 HP Color Print where one is MFP HP all-in-one. 4-port USB2.0 Hub shown below:
