Try with just one usb drive inserted with a single partition, ext2 or ext3

OK I'll try your suggestions one by one (starting with a single ext2 partition). BTW I got an answer in pyload's forum from the site admin stating "This is not due to pyload, but on very strict os like routers it may simply kill the process.". It seems to "simply kill the process" but I guess I would also have problems with transmission if that was the case

I think I can't use entware on the ac68u because it's ARM based

Didn't know you are using rt-ac68u, you could try to setup debian and install from there.

I already have pyload running on an ubuntu pc but that's not a solution...

I noticed that when pyload downloads are running free memory is around 20MB, so I guess that's why my router kills pyload. Will it help if I add a swap partition on my usb flash drive?

I mean debian on your router :). Yes you can try creating a swap partition.

Debian on my router? That sounds nice! I'll try swap for now but I'll definitely think about your suggestion. :)

Reading your installation log, pyload started successfully.
Reboot the router and check again.

thank you
i will check it

ask you one more question
how can i host a website in the server
is this router can use the lighttpd?

thank you

Thanks for this. I followed your instructions and it installed as described on my rt-ac68u and works!

I have one question although this may be outside the scope of this forum: I have the astrill openvpn applet installed on the router as well. How would I go about routing pyload through the openvpn tunnel? The download stops if I connect to the openvpn server. I have upnp disabled if that is relevant.

Thanks again.

Hi,

I can istall all packages from the tutorial on the first page except tesseract-ocr, or more precise libjpeg, a dependent package I suppose

Code:
admin@RT-AC68U-CD40:/tmp/home/root# ipkg install tesseract-ocr
Installing tesseract-ocr (2.03-3) to /opt/...
Downloading http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/mbwe-bluering/cross/stable/tesseract-ocr_2.03-3_arm.ipk
Installing libjpeg (6b-3) to /opt/...
Downloading http://nw-dlcdnet.asus.com/asusware/arm/stable/libjpeg_6b-3_arm.ipk
wget: server returned error: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
Nothing to be done
An error ocurred, return value: 22.
Collected errors:
ipkg_download: ERROR: Command failed with return value 1: `wget -q -P /opt/ipkg-4QaHxa http://nw-dlcdnet.asus.com/asusware/arm/stable/libjpeg_6b-3_arm.ipk'
Failed to download libjpeg. Perhaps you need to run 'ipkg update'?

What's wrong wit this package? Does somebody know?

Regards

It's not there, to install
Code:
ipkg install libjpeg
or
Code:
ipkg install http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/mbwe-bluering/cross/stable/libjpeg_6b-3_arm.ipk

TeHashX, thank you for reply!

I already found and installed this package manually. So pyLoad itself is working. /opt/etc/init.d/S95Pyload seems to be not executed at the startup, I have to execute this script manually. Do I need some start scripts in /jffs/scripts, or anywhere else? I hoped the installation of the Asus Download Master creates all necessary scripts automatically...
