Oh, sorry, I was too impatient. But how do the asus own services start from /opt/etc/init.d/? There are some asus start scripts: S50asuslighttpd, S50downloadmaster.

I have one more qestion, how is it ensured, that the pyLoad terminanted and the USB stick and the HDD connected to RT-AC68U are un-mounted correctly before shutdown and reboot. Do you know that? I just remember, for older devices there was a lot of scripts... /opt/etc/rc.unslung and so on.

Hello,
i have install pyload with this how to on my Asus N66U,i cant start the webinterface.
Anyone have an idea, what the problem is?

mimi: check, whether pyLoad is running (use 'ps'). If yes - you did something wrong by configuration of the web IF, check it once again, use the information from the 1st post. If pyLoad is not running - start it and then go to the web IF (http://[IP of your RT-N66U]:8000)

How can i uninstall pyload completely?

Code:
/opt/etc/init.d/S95Pyload stop
rm -r /opt/pyload
rm /opt/etc/init.d/S95Pyload
But it's better to reinstall optware from scratch, remove asusware folder from /sda1 and reinstall Download Master

If I want to start the S95Pyload script then I get this error:
Code:

Hi,

after upgrade to Merlin 3.0.0.4.378.50_0 pyLoad doesn't start anymore, pyton environment prints a "segmentation fault" error at the attempt to start, or to re-start pyLoad. I tried to re-install (with the -force_reinstall option) the python components, but "segmentation fault" is still there. Has enyone a hint for me? Is anyone else affected?

Code:
admin@wlanrouter:/tmp/home/root# /opt/etc/init.d/S95Pyload restart
You have chosen:

[[: New: unknown operand

I have tried and restored the router firmware through recovery mode , reformatted the USB drive and done the entire process again but same error . Pl let me know how to fix /overcome the problem .

Also the link https://www.asuswrt.eu/pyload-download-manager-through-optware is not working.
https://www.hqt.ro/pyload-download-manager-through-optware/

Thanks TeHashX

I could successfully proceed to start the S95Pyload but now getting erro when creating a file to start automatically after every router reboot
[ Error writing /jffs/scripts/post-mount: No such file or
directory ]

Another query .. which is a better way to install and use a download manager on RT-AC68U:
a. Optware
b. Entware
c. Optware-NG
are there any better download managers over Pyload in your opinion?

thanks for your advise and valuable input
