Hi, I've been using R7000 w stock firmware for a few months now and decided to try out vortex. Upgraded to the most recent firmware, but I've been getting DNS errors with my laptop, so I updated the firmware for my wireless card for my laptop, but it didn't help. I've restarted my router and modem, but that didn't solve it either. My laptop is on 2.4ghz, with router settings on channel 1 and just 20mhz w WPA2 security. The router is on auto IP and auto DNS.

Every few hours, my laptop would reset the adapter due to DNS errors (according to chrome: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET).

Under the system log for my router, it's a lot of this:

I'm tempted to return to stock, but the asus firmware is too nice to give up without a fight. What should my next troubleshooting steps be? Any help would be appreciated.

RMerlin user may be able to comment as I've not personally used Xwrt-Vortex with the R7000
