RP-AC53 Aimesh support

I run 3 aimesh routers - AC3100 main - AC3100 - AC68U And i need to set one more node for TV sitting far away and getting low signal. To keep space clean near TV i wish to try RP-AC53 device, but i'm not sure. Will it work as aimesh node if i run merlin firmware (386.7_2) on other ones ?

Don't set up another node for the TV.

Use Media Bridge mode instead.

What has this got to do with addon scripts?

There's nothing on the RP-AC53 product page to suggest it supports AiMesh. It appears to be just a repeater.

Okay, got you. It is better to get another ordinary aimesh router then

You don't want/need an additional AiMesh router. You simply want one that does Media Bridge mode. Your entire network will benefit from the latter, the former will give you a case of 'too much WiFi' in your home.
