First do a factory default reset.....then make sure you chase the router gremlins away and try the update. Then another factory default reset....

Not to be a pessimist, but you may not be out of the woods yet. At least on the N16 (another MIPS base)....there were cases where the new code got on OK, but things like wireless stopped working until we played with the flash partitions. You may want to take a quick browse thru this thread....

Update: I had put this project on hold for a few days due to schoolwork, but am back to hopefully getting it working. So far, any attempts to run repeater mode on this router failed, it connects to the main router just fine, but then can't seem to connect to any websites. I followed the instructions in the other thread I was linked to, but to no avail.
