RT-AC68U - Change hostnames of clients

Occasional Visitor
Hi,

I've setup my AC68U routers which are working fine, just one point annoys me:

The names of the Android clients and some printers in the client list. I have given them a fixed ip via dhcp assignment.

For example the phones show up as android-xxxx-xxx or so in the list.

So is there a way to change to hostname or the name that is shown in the client list for those phones, so lets say instead of android-xxxx-xxx it states MyNexus or so?

Thanks!

If you are using Merlin FW (3.0.0.4.374.35_n) you can add hostname to your fixed dhcp list. From that point onward your clients list will display the hostname you added in this fixed list.
