RT-AC68U Clean firmware update

It’s the only router on my network. Understood about the hardware. Also, no reason it shouldn’t be working, though I did restore the same settings I had from the old firmware with loaded settings

If you already reset the router better set it up manually. By uploading config from a file you restore not only the settings, but also the eventual setup errors you've made with the previous firmware. Keep in mind default settings between firmware releases may be different. I would say use config file only if you know what it contains and what are you doing.

Yeah, I know the router wasn’t savings the settings I input until after I did the hard reset. Seems everything is peachy now

Yeah, I had to do the factory reset once I realized flashing and then using the config file didn’t do it properly. So, I did what OE had commented after pointing out I’d have to do the factory reset. I’ve saved a couple config files that I should be able to revert to if I do have problems with the router. We’ll see how the router does for the week
