it was like a routine

Yes ... TRUE ... IT's like a routine over and over again. I will try to activate scheduled reboot and to try to force reboot at every 3 - 1/2 days in the middle of the night and avoid HIS routine.
TrendMicro could be a solution. - DISABLED -
What I see also , this reboot was happening when RAM is almost 100% full, because after reboot is 77 %, next day some 82% ... four days later is 98% ... and used from swap little 3-4 mb ....It is a crescendo low 77 to high 98 % and after reboot all is fine ...

Exactly the same behaviour here ! what i have observed over several months is that when ram reached 94+% it would reboot within 24 hours , it got so bad one week that the router factory reseted itself twice in a week.
@ one time I suspected Skynet was the problem because it was disabled accidently, and the router was up for 8 days! this was a miracle i thought , it rebooted that same night.
It has been 1 month an half since i disabled trend micro stuff by exiting the Eula and the router is finally performing as it should after almost 1.5 years .
My last uptime was 21 days until i rebooted it yesterday to test something.

What a miracle for me :p ... Solution now is simple ...I disable MicroTrend ... I want to be a extra safety measure for browsing since kids are over the internet everyday but I don't know if it's a big deal.

Have a clue ?

I will try also to find out if my solution will work with extra schedule reboot in night times ... I'm ok if reboot will be on "free hours"
Thank you for sharing

Try and disable TrendMicro stuff but make sure you got Skynet and Diversion installed and running , as for schedule reboots , that's a double edge sword as the rt-ac86 has a habit of shutting itself down when it reboots, although mine has not done that in months.

Skynet and Diversion installed

I have Diversion ... No skynet ... I don't want to overload my router with apps who may slow down or interfere with FlexQos ...
I will try to see how it's work with rebooting ( it is not the greatest idea. I know ) and in the near future to try your solution.

What is an enigma for me ... Why only few in this forum have on this ROUTER very wide spread around world this behavior ... and very few almost none solutions ?

Thx .. I'll post after few weeks the results

Hey again ...
If I disable AIprotection I will lose adaptive QOS and FLEXQOS ... Is very important for me

Look in link my network configuration ....

I scan the topics on this forum and I founds also this weird problem ... but not a real solution.
Some people presume TRENDMicro updates definitions create this time to time reboot on some routers with specific configuration and manufacture factory / revision / year. Others routers do not reboot on this update ... weird also...

Thank you in advance for advices

I would occasionally have issues with my 2019 RT-AC86U becoming sluggish and the webui unresponsive. I too needed a QoS solution due to my limited bandwidth and using FuboTV. I finally withdrew from the TM EULA and all my issues with the router vanished. I run Cake, Skynet and NextDNS client. I do not use any type of VPNs. My network is stable and trouble free. I firmly believe getting rid of the TM stuff is a very big factor in my stabilty.

More I read ... I 'm really convinced about do you say ... but I'm finally create my environment with flexqos and it's work fine, but if I want to live with some
instability day by day I 'll be stuck in my configuration.
If I disable AIprotection + EULA, adaptive QOS and FlexQOS are gone ... Uninstall the FlexQOS and install another > CAKEQOS. Another settings and blurry things to make it run in good conditions ruined me again ... no time to spend more . MAYBE I 'll try in the near future... maybe some updates fix this or some firmware upgrade in the near future.

Could be redundant to have CAKE and Flex installed in same time ? It's a stupid question but maybe disable Flex and activate CAKE to see how it's works ... It's just a idea, bad I presume ...
Also I read CAKE is recommended on slow connections. I have without Adaptive QOS - 450/25 speed ... I think CAKE will slow down a LITTLE bit my surfing Horses  ...

Looks like it is time to do a factory reset and dump the USB apps. I find using a Pi-Hole for DNS filtering works best for me. Am watching my AC86U as the RAM usage increases for no apparent reason. I too use Adaptive QOS/FlexQOS (SFQ).

do a factory reset and dump the USB apps

I'll try to install nss-mdns to see what I achieve ... maybe unistall Skynet and stay only with FlexQos and Ai protection with reboot at 4 days ... not ONE and maybe another USB stick ... If not .... reset and go again ...

I'm open also to another solutions if they are ...

That NSS warning is normal and should just be ignored.
