RT-AC86U - region change

Hi,
can anyone unequivocally settle the question of the possibility of changing the region in the RT-AC86U router, regardless of whether it is legal , etc.? I bought it a few days ago and the signal strength is dramatically low. In my previous RT-N66U router, after changing the location from EU to US, the signal strength is incomparably better. I understand that changing the region will void the warranty, but for me this is the only option other than returning the router to the seller.

You either have the option in the wireless setting to change the region or you don't. Beyond that any discussions in these forums regarding circumventing these restrictions are against forum rules and will be deleted.
