Given the RT-AC88U has (2) switches, is there a difference in connecting Ethernet clients to ports 0-3 or 4-7 ?

Given the RT-AC88U has (2) switches, is there a difference in connecting Ethernet clients to ports 0-3 or 4-7 ?

Global traffic between ports 0-3 and 4-7 will be capped at 1 Gbps. So for optimal performance, keep as many connections as possible on ports 0-3 (which will also be on the same switch as the WAN port).
