RT AX56U Boot Loop

Howdy....

I have RTAX56U and until recently it spent at least 8 months in storage... I have gotten out of storage and now it's stuck on a boot loop, which makes it impossible to remain on the router gui. I have tried updating the firmware through recovery mode, but it keeps boot looping. It's getting rather frustrating to say the least... help please....

Perform the reset indicated for your specific router.

Don't update it via recovery mode.

Download the latest version and install via the GUI.

Don't connect to your ISP or the rest of the network to do the above.

After flashing the latest firmware, be sure to do a full reset to factory defaults again.

I have tried resetting it and as I said before, the boot loops that bad the gui doesn't stay up long enough to do anything before it boots again...

If you look at that link I provided, you don't need the GUI.

I mean after the reset... when u say to install via the gui, i can't keep the gui up long enough to install...

Are you plugging in the WAN? Any LAN cables? Any USB devices?

Have you tried a different browser, computer, both?

What version of firmware is installed?

Did you download the correct version for your router?
