Problem not solved. Now, the commentors avatars on youtube sometimes vanish. Facebook is loading a bit faster though. Might just sell off this router and get another brand. My previous Belkin worked really well, far better than this.

Got this router in December, seems to load images slower than my old Trendnet wireless N router. I'll be going through Facebook, for example, and often the images don't load at all. I tried switching back to the Trendnet to test this, and the Trendnet now won't even recognize my desktop computer ethernet connection. I switch back to the Asus and it works again.

Two different routers having issues suggests the problem is not the router. Try different cables and clients. Try connecting your client directly to your ISP box/modem... briefly. Try a different client.

@OzarkEdge : a quick follow up to the other issue.

The 386 code base did away with the "Apply" box on the bottom of the router reset page for the AC68, AX58 and AX86, so I assume that all models that have 386 code base have benefited in the same way.

Thanks for making me aware.

My RT-AC68U (A2) is much more responsive than my 10 year old Trendnet TEW-691GR. I can't help but feel that the problem may lie elsewhere.

It could be your ISP's DNS server is the issue. Try changing it to Google or cloud flare.
