OFDMA is enabled for ASUS AX89X as well.

I should be able to reveal more performance metrics when i get the go ahead for ASUS TW HQ networking. Stay tuned.

Even the unreleased ASUS GX-AX6000 is performing with network monitor graph is similar

So it looks like from the GUI screens and the LED logo on the top, that this will be another ROG category router.

@maylyn - are there any new non-ROG models in the pipeline and/or expected to be released around the same time as the AX89X?

It's meant just showing the similarities with the ASUS RT-AX89X with the unreleased GX-AX6000 (which ASUS TW HQ networking has no plans to release it from what i heard).

ASUS RT-AX89X doesn't have the network traffic graph/AURA Sync and others and all the performance metrics are done on the ASUS RT-AX89X on that particular post and which i posted it separately not to confuse you guys.

This the non ROG version ASUS AX flagship router to begin with.

I think there are other mid tier ASUS AX routers in the making as well. I need to clarify with ASUS TW HQ first. (Can't remember the SKU)

NDA/embargo in place for the next ASUS flagship tri band AX ROG router. You have to wait until CES 2020 (7-10 Jan 2020) for the official announcement that's all i can mention right now only.

Good to know! Thank you very much!

Even the ASUS TuF AX3000 gaming router for example.

It's exclusive to JD.com and already starting retailing and only meant for China market only. No clues as in whether ASUS TW HQ networking will be extending this SKU to other regions or not eventually.

One can follow Koolshare.cn postings.

Performance looks good, any chance we can get some results from accessing a NAS from a wireless AX client like an Intel AX200 in ideal conditions?

New addition details.

ASUS RT-AX89X isn't passive cooling ... there is a smart fan (4 pin) to cool the CPU.

So far the sound -dB on rev is barely audible and the temperatures are excellent barely go beyond than 60 degrees Celsius which I was doing those AES128/256 looping test.

AES256 EVP test

This was done by someone in Singapore on SuperInternet 10G Optical Ethernet on Ubiquiti on their SuperInternet specially configured 10G Speedtest Ookla server setup.

I strongly believed that ASUS RT-AX89X is able to achieve this kind of results as well.

I'm not comparing whether XGPON1/OE is better, of cos OE have more advantages like contention ratio/RTT/symmetrical speeds etc etc

There's some info on the FCC already about future potential models:

https://www.snbforums.com/threads/trio-of-new-routers-just-hit-the-fcc.58204/

There's also the ZenWifi models, the successors to the Lyra line, which were announced these past few months.

The pricing entrance level for AX should become more interesting in 2020.

Holy....... fvck

lol I take it you have never seen or used a 10Gbps network before?

I work with SFP+ and QFSP+ daily at my datacenter job with 100Gbps connections, but to see that speed for home users vs our sh*t ISP's in the USA

Very true not everyone is lucky enough to live in chattanooga with access to epb.

The only thing more upsetting is knowing they only pay $140 USD for those speeds :(:p
