I was one of those who saw a massive decrease in speed with the latest Asus firmwares for the N66U and as a result have stuck with RT-N66U 3.0.0.4.276 for a while until today.
So I thought I would try out Merlins 3.0.0.4.374.35-2 and have to say the speed and distance increase has been amazing.
I have 3 Likuda 13dbi antenna hooked onto the Asus and need to get 20mtrs through around 5 walls, and the previous firmware did an Ok job with 110W set.
Since this mornings change, I am now hitting almost full bars and a massive speed increase over the 2.4 channel.
