[RT-N66U] Help with latest 4g USB sticks compatibility

Hello, I own a N66U (Merlin build) and recently moved home. I'm having problems with completing the wired Internet connection due to an issue with the cable between my house and the exchange, so I'm considering using a 4g mobile usb stick.
Do you know if the router is compatible with the current 4g sticks from Vodafone or Three UK?

Any help will be really appreciated.

I am not sure, but can imagine these USB devices are somehow compatible, cannot imagine every single stick needs a dedicated driver.
The only way to tell is to try.
