Swapped ok (with a couple of glitches).
Considerably more power consumption (2 to 2 1/2 X) and the resulting heat with the Netgear over the TP Link which is why I mount these vertically with 'spacer feet' to increase air flow from the bottom of the enclosure.

Just using a Cat 6 cable from the Router to my main PC. Don't see a need of anything else. KISS.
