Tethering Asus XT-12

Hi all,

Is there a way of using my phone with a Asus XT-12 as a backup modem?
I was going to try repeater mode but it says it will disable the AiMesh system.
I have tried a usb c to ethernet adapter. Turned on usb tether on the phone but the XT-12 could not see it.

I am using tethering with my RT-AC86U, but I don't use a usb c to ethernet. I connect my phone (Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S) to USB router's port.
Then, I enter into USB application -> 3G/4G and there I select USB mode (Android Phone).
I think you don't need an ethernet adapter but a USB-C to USB-A cable.

No. XT12 doesn't have USB ports and no USB WAN option in GUI.
