What do you have set in WAN/DNS Server? You need a valid entry for an upstream DNS server.

Ah...long day and I read it backwards . Must be something goofy for the AP to not get a time sync? Change the AP to a mesh node and there will be no worries!

I'm seeing the time zone is different from my local setting message on my AXE-16000 too. But the time zone is correct as is the date/time on the router.

I couldn't figure out the cause, so I basically ignore it.

Not sure about this specific model, but I had Asus routers not updating time in AP Mode when LAN port is used. In theory in AP Mode all ports are LAN, but test on the WAN port or reserve the IP on the main router and use DHCP. One of the two will solve the problem.

As I recall the default settings for DST dates were incorrect. Could your computer be correct but not the router?

the time and date in the AP is not < it says Jan1,2024.

This device can't reach NTP servers. Time/date 00:00 Jan 1, 2024 is the default after boot. Did you try any of the suggestions above?

Tried it on the wan, didn't work, reserve the IP on the main router and use DHCP< was tying this but it just disappeared when hitting apply, I know how to set up routers, ap, media bridge and get them working, don't have the knowledge to tweak unless I am told specifically what to do, the attached is where I thought you could do this, im willing to try anything if someone could provide the necessary info.

Did you click on the + button (Add) before hitting Apply?

Didn't hit the add button, tried again and it added it, I did now rebooted both the main router and the AP. The only thing that changed is the time, went do dec 31 2023, I have pool.ntp.org < ntp server.

Login with ssh and run:

service restart_ntpd

Then check the system log.
