Hi,
I thought I had this sorted out, but I am now confused why I am not seeing clients attaching themselves to (specifically) the AiMesh nodes via the 5GHz Wifi band. Unfortunately I am 9500kms away, so was wondering if there was some SSH command I could issue to check what was available on each node; or failing that some other way to check apart from seeing a 5GHz connection in the Client Map or System Log?
IIRC it should be both bands on the primary router plus one GN per band, which IIRC is at least what the old Guest Network gave you even oif you had 3004-based Nodes? But I am not seeing any clients connecting to the nodes on 5GHz (2.4Ghz seems OK). I have limited the IoT GN to 2.4Ghz (in the GNP menu), so I would have thought the Guest GN would allow at least the 5GHz, if not both.
Would anyone be able to confirm from my GNP setup and these two (still) rather obscure messages, whether I SHOULD be able to get 5GHz on nodes or not? I know if I had Nodes cabable of 3006 or on the 'magic' ASUS approved VLAN Capable Router list it would be easier, but I am strugglng to interpret what the messages mean as it SUGGESTs that the Guest network (on VLAN 52) should work on both 5Ghz and 2.4GHz and NOT just on the primary but also on the Nodes? Note that my IoTNetwork is on the primary subnet (due to hard coded IP addreses in Shelly scripts).
System: RT_AX86U Pro Main on 3006.102.5, 2 x XD6 and one RT-AX58U Nodes, nodes all on 3004.388.xxx
Relevant prior threads (@visortgw and @Seth Harman and @bennor was all over this earlier).

GT-AX11000 ... The wifi interface has reached its maximum.
I have a new GT-AX11000 Pro and an older GT-AX11000. I started creating networks using Guest Network Pro. I am using the GT-AX11000 in a mesh and connecting using an ethernet cable connected for the backhaul. I have the Backhaul Connection Priority set to AUTO. The first network set up fine...

YazFi - YazFi Lite with Router in AP Mode?
I'll test this at first opportunity and report back the results Hi, how’s the testing coming along, if you’ve managed to get to it? Super curious about the outcome of this one. k.

Seeking clarity for Guest Network Pro/VLANs
After participating in a few threads regarding Guest Network Pro/VLANs I've discovered I'm still a bit confused as to what Asus is doing. In regards to VLANs here's what Asus says: 1). By creating a Guest network pro, a VLAN will be created as well in VLAN settings. 2). VLAN supported models...

3006.102.5 Guest Network Pro issues in Aimesh nodes after reboot
Im running 3006.102.5 in my RT-AX88U Pro along with 4 Aimesh node. My nodes are a combination of 3 RT-AC66U B1 (3004.386.14_2) and 1 RT-AX58U V2 (3004.388.9_2gnuton2) that had no issues with my prior version of Merlin (3006.102.4). Since the last update (actually the following day, which then...

Switch capabilities of AiMesh Nodes?
Most likely the connection type in GUI is for Asus devices with MoCA or PLA integrated options. I've seen some sold in other countries. In your case MoCA is a transparent bridge with Ethernet end points. I would be surprised if Asuswrt is actually seeing it. Link up/down monitoring is indeed...
