mSATA? No. There is a reason why they're not sold in PC systems anymore. No better than SATA (at best) drives.
 
Besides interface speed I'm not aware of any other reasons.
I mostly only use NVME SSD as main system/OS drives where you'll hopefully actually make use of and feel more speed (compared to SATA).
 
I put an msata in my car to preventively replace the aging HDD and it works just fine. Took a couple of different drives to find one that actually worked though.
