I want to install a Netgear WNDR3400 router. I have FIOS and because I also have FIOS TV I need to keep Verizon's Actiontec router.

I want to install the Netgear WNDR3400 to work with this router. As I understand it, I need take a cable from the Actiontec router (using one of the LAN ports) and plug that into the yellow WAN RJ45 jack on the Netgear router and then configure the Netgear as normal. Is this correct? I also think that I have read that I should disable the wireless functions on the Actiontec.

Anything else that I should be aware of? Will the Actiontec still serve up IP addresses? Any special settings on the Netgear router?

Thanks in advance for any help and insight you can provide.
