So I moved into a larger house and now the coverage from the RT-AC66 isn't enough to give full coverage. I think the best option is to upgrade to an RT-AC3200 and use the RT-AC66 as an AP to cover the far side of the house/deck. Has anyone tried a similar config or am I barking up the wrong tree and should save myself some money and try boosted antennas?

Geek404, I agree w/ L&LD in using the RT-AC66 as an AP instead of getting boosted antennae. Since that is the better route to go, save your self some mula and get another RT-AC66 instead of the RT-AC3200 and use one as main router and the other as an AP. That should give you better coverage and enough speed/throughput that you need.
