You don't actually mean "deploy" do you? As in provide, install, roll out?

If you mean "utilize," usually you just turn on your laptop/device, connect to what should be a conspicuous network, try to go to any web page (google.com, whatever) and it brings you to a landing page where you agree to pay for it, or in the off chance, just accept their terms and it's free.

i actually meant rolling out wifi in a hotel
That is a project really beyond the scope of any practical level of advice you are going to get in a forum.

Hire a professional.

You need to pay for a professional's time to look at your goals in detail, site visit, recommend solutions(s) and cost of each.

Be sure to keep your back office IT totally separate from guest room access.

please can someone recommend a professional to me? i will be most grateful

About as easily as you could recommend someone to reshingle my roof.

Try asking other local businesses who they use for IT/networking work, call Chamber of Commerce, Angie's list, BBB, etc.

Hospitality networks are beyond the scope here...

Some considerations though if you want to roll your own...

Consider a 50 foot radius around each AP - on each floor - also consider 2 users per room, which puts you at about 10 users per AP. To keep things acceptable for all guests, there needs to be some traffic shaping perhaps, along with quality of service. Guest privacy is another concern, as you do want to isolate the guests from each other.

For accounting, access, and billing/administration - you want to:

1) ensure that access is only given to guests - this can be a captive portal with a passcode perhaps

2) Liability - in the US - the broadband customer is liable for DCMA violations - if you cannot prove that it can be tracked to a guest without some level of traceability - bit torrents and the like, and you don't want to go down the path of free/unlimited access to the more undesirable things like Child Porn and the like that could get the owner thrown in jail... or the wrong guest...

3) Support - the hotel owner likely is not a network guru - for maintenance of the network or support for the guests.

LodgeNet (I think they're now Sonifi these days) is one of the leaders in the hospitality business. They're pretty good...

Alternately - work with the Broadband provider - as they likely do have employees or contractors/consultants that can provide a level of support needed to deploy and sustain a network like you're asking for.

Again, this is all well beyond the scope of what most of us participate here.

Seek the assistance of an experienced professional. A Hotel Network is a not the same as a small office, home type of network - it has some very specific considerations.

Hotel networks used to be fairly complicated, but there's certain vendors products that make it a breeze. I've revamped existing unreliable hotel networks built by 'professionals' for 5x what I charged. And I actually monitor the networks as well as part of the price. These two clients used to have complaints about their Internet every week. Now, it's about once or twice a year. :)

If you're interested, send me a PM with the age of your property, the number of rooms, floors, and if it's interior or exterior corridor. I've been in the hospitality industry over 30 years, so I know what a guest wants. :)
