Did you enable HTTPS access? If so, you need to add HTTPS and the assigned port number to the URL.

I didn't enable HTTPS access to the router. Previous to this exercise, the office n66u was configured for VPN using pptp. I would connect from my home pc to the office, without using the home n66u being a vpn client. I could then access the office n66u by i.p. using http.

I'll see if I can restart the office n66u tonight and provide an update.

Meanwhile it seems there could be a bug in 1071, as I'm not the first to experience the problem of the client n66u not disconnecting the vpn, even though I've pressed the disconnect button and the client n66u says it's disconnected. See http://forums.smallnetbuilder.com/showthread.php?t=16161

I rebooted the office n66u and it seems to be okay now. From home, I'm able to access the office n66u webpage. Maybe the problem is gone. I did notice that it takes some time for the webpage to reflect a disconnected vpn client. I confirmed this by connecting and disconnecting from my mobile phone.

I have not confirmed the other problem still persists, where I disconnect the home n66u openvpn client from the office openvpn server. The home n66u openvpn client shows I'm disconnected, yet I can ping the office n66u from my home pc, which means the connection is still up.
