Cheap NAS for streaming movies to my child..

Hi,

I am looking for a cheap nas primarily for streaming movies.

I plan to connect the NAS to my D-Link Dir-615 router via Ethernet cable ( and then stream it wireless to her laptop.
The D-Link is 10/100 - but I don't suppose this would be a bottleneck.


I've looked at the Qnap TS-110 and Synology Disk Station DS109,i've always
been quite happy with Qnap but are unsure if its fast enough for this purpose

And as I am going to rip her DVD movies via Handbrake (MacOS), could
anyone recommend what format I should use - eg. would MP4 / H264 be okay ?
